The game takes place on the continent of Arathos, which is in the middle of a civil war. The war was caused by the disappearance of the Crystal of Arathos, which was its source of power.
A new evil has emerged and is threatening the peace of Arathos. This is the second time that the continent has been thrown into chaos.
The people of the continent are increasingly divided into two groups: those who believe in the Hero of Arathos, and those who reject him.
In order to save the peace of Arathos, the three most powerful heroes of the continent, the Crystal, Leon Daracan, and the Sword of the Light, must be retrieved.
In order to retrieve the three heroes, the player must face and defeat powerful enemies.
